각자의 드로잉에서 시작해 흙이 포함하는 우연과 불규칙한 속성을 사용하여 삼차원의 물체를 만들어 나갑니다.
<A bricklayer>에서는 드로잉이 새겨진 흙 블록을 쌓는 <Briggs> 시리즈를 확장하여 제작한 생활 속 크고 작은 물건들로 공간을 채웁니다. 흙 블록은 기능하기 위한 형태 안에서 합쳐지고 쪼개지며 물건의 외형을 갖추어 갑니다. 작업물의 일부는 두 사람의 시행착오에서 발견된 조각 이기도 합니다.
We create three-dimensional objects based on each individual drawing elements; we formulate objects with clay by applying its coincidental and erratic properties.
In <A bricklayer>, works are developed from the <Briggs> series which is made by stacking up the pictorial clay blocks. We shaped things through combining and splitting clay blocks under the functional form. Some part of works is fragments of trial and error done by two ceramists.
